Wheelgate
An excellent theme park for young children offering a range of indoor and outdoor activities all year round whatever the weather.
It is an Easter Eggstravaganza this year at Wheelgate Adventure Park, Mansfield!!! Join Bugsy the Easter bunny for an action packed Easter, family fun day throughout the Easter holidays.
Admission is £11.99 per person but annual passes are available for just £35.99 per person offering excellent value, particularly as Wheelgate is open all year round. For children between 95cm and 108cm, toddler annual passes are just £22.99.
You can also get a combined pass giving you free entry to Twinlakes too, for £59.99. Babies and toddlers up to 95cm are FREE.

Nottingham Castle
Nottingham is a city that is rich in history and right at the very centre is Nottingham Castle - a magnificent 17th century ducal mansion built on the site of the original Medieval Castle, which offers spectacular views across the city.
During the Easter holidays, they are running trips along the canal and out onto the River Trent to provide some excellent educational fun, where you will discover items from the Museums collections, including recent archaeological finds.

Cinema On A Budget!
If it's a rainy day or you are looking for something less strenuous, both the Odeon Mansfield and Cineworld Nottingham offer excellent value kids films throughout the school holidays and also every weekend throughout the year.
These specially selected films are on every day throughout the holidays. Odeon Mansfield charge just £2.50 per child and adults are completely free (with a paying child), meaning a family of 4 can go for just £5! Cineworld charge just £1 per person. Odeon Mansfield also has a large free car park right outside.

Football Coaching
Do your kids dream of growing up to become the next David Beckham or Wayne Rooney?
If so, both Nottingham Forest & Mansfield Town are running football courses throughout the Easter holidays which have been designed to provide professional coaching to children aged from 4 up to 14 years old.
You can leave your kids here all day, which can be a cheaper alternative to holiday childcare and also offer the kids a fun day out.
With fun competitions, small side games, skills coaching and lots more exciting activities forming parts of the action, these football courses promise to be great fun!

Making It! Discovery Centre
The Making It! Discovery Centre is celebrating its 10th birthday this year and has created a number of attractions designed to allow families to come and celebrate with them throughout the Easter holidays.
Between the 2nd & 13th April they have lots of exciting things going on at the centre, such as Easter Egg hunts and if your birthday happens to be in April too, bring some proof of age down and if you’re under 16 you will be allowed in for free!!

Twycross Zoo
Twycross Zoo is nearly 50 years old and has a reputation throughout the world for being one of the leading homes for Chimps.
Throughout the Easter break, the discovery team will be running daily workshops to give children the chance to get close and personal with some of the friendlier Zoo animals, along with the opportunity to take part in Easter egg hunts and learning tips on how to save the world!

Rufford Abbey Country Park
Would you like to come face to face with ferocious Norman warriors? Watch a smart Regency recruiting party practice musket firing? Chat with Victorian ladies of fashion, and learn how Tudor folk cooked a meal. From an Elizabethan puppet show to a World War Two concert party, there's plenty of fun for everyone at Rufford Abbey Country Park.
The creative amongst us will love the drop-in workshops running over the Easter holidays which will allow you to have a go at making a commemorative mug or plate to feature in the exhibition or to help make bunting triangles to decorate the gallery.
This varied park includes the ruins of a medieval monastery, a contemporary craft centre, gardens, woodland walks, children's play village, sculpture trail, and a lake. We have lots of special events too. Bring the family for a relaxing and inexpensive day out.

Twinlakes
Twinlakes has an excellent outdoor waterpark, with loads of slides and water fun for the kids. They've also thought of the adults too with as number of sunbeds available around waterpark.

Snibston
During Easter, kids of all ages will find countless hours of fun at Snibston.
With attractions ranging from a fascinating colliery tour with former mine workers who describe in gritty detail what it was like to work in a mine, to a brilliant Easter egg hunt throughout the galleries, all the way to a retro gaming night, where the bigger kids amongst us can step back in time to play some classic games from the past 35 years!
Snibston is comprises an interactive museum, historic colliery railway, outside play areas and a Country Park and nature reserve, all located on the site of the former Snibston Colliery and as the region's largest interactive museum, Snibston showcases Leicestershire's science, technology and design collections, including major innovations in transport and engineering history.

Galleries of Justice
Based at Nottingham's old courthouse and gaol, The Galleries of Justice are one of Nottingham’s premier attractions for visitors to the city and residents alike.
There are many ways to explore the Galleries of Justice museum, with free exhibitions, audio & performance led tours and a themed café. A series of events have been planned to take place over the Easter period and from following the true stories of two of Nottingham’s youngest inmates and discover the wretched conditions they faced in this notorious County Gaol to taking part in making a convict paper chain for display in our Convict Ship exhibition, you will be delving into the world of crime and punishment in Nottingham!!
